A Florida Couple's Dream Destination Wedding in the Eternal City

When Sophia and Max flew from Miami to Rome with 140 guests, they created more than a wedding — they designed a 3-day celebration. As their Villa Miani wedding videographer, I had the privilege of capturing every moment in one of the world's most romantic cities.

This is the story of their 3-day wedding journey through Rome, from a sunrise at Piazza del Popolo to a riverboat celebration and finally the grand conclusion at the breathtaking Villa Miani.

WEDDING REEL FILM

The Journey Begins / Sunrise at Piazza del Popolo

Our first shoot began at 6:00 AM at Piazza del Popolo. The square was completely empty — no tourists, no traffic. Just Sophia, Max, and the golden morning light.

From there, we climbed the famous steps to the panoramic park above. The view of Rome was breathtaking. I launched my drone to capture the couple against the city's iconic skyline. These early morning shots became some of the most cinematic frames of their wedding film

Day 1 / River Celebration at Baia

Later that day, we moved to the Baia, a beautiful anchored boat on the Tiber River. Guests enjoyed food, drinks, and stunning views of Rome from the water.

After a short speech, I pulled Sophia and Max aside for intimate portraits along the riverbank. The golden afternoon light created romantic, candid moments away from the crowd.

Day 2 / The Wedding Day at Villa Miani Rome

The main event took place at Villa Miani, one of Rome's most exclusive wedding venues. Perched on Monte Mario, the villa offers panoramic views of St. Peter's Basilica and the entire city.

As a Villa Miani wedding videographer, I can confidently say this venue is a filmmaker's dream. The neoclassical architecture, frescoed ceilings, and sprawling terraces create endless cinematic opportunities.

Before the ceremony, we captured the intimate Ketubah signing — the Jewish marriage contract — with the couple's closest family members. It was an emotional moment that set the tone for the day.

The Ceremony

The ceremony was officiated by a Rabbi and Micaela, an Italian celebrant. They led a beautiful Jewish ceremony with a subtle, heartfelt message about peace and hope — delivered with grace and inclusivity.

The outdoor ceremony took place on Villa Miani's spectacular terrace, with Rome's skyline as the backdrop. It felt like a Renaissance painting come to life.

Portraits and Bridal Party

Following the ceremony, we explored Villa Miani's stunning gardens — from the Prato GuardaRoma lawn to the Giardino Segreto with its bronze fountain. Every corner offered a cinematic frame: manicured hedges, palm trees, and breathtaking city views.

Evening Reception at Villa Miani

The evening reception began with a dramatic entrance. Guests welcomed Sophia and Max with cheers of "Ciao Bella!" — a moment of pure joy.

The first dance was short and sweet, quickly inviting all guests to join in.

Then came the evening speeches — from parents, witnesses, and finally the newlyweds themselves. Every word was heartfelt, filled with laughter and tears.
